Carol Hurley, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Season’s Nursing Home Kenwood, Ohio. She was 81 years old. Carol was born in 1940 in St Bernard, Ohio to parents Bernadette and Lyle. Some of her best memories were of the time she had with her best friend’s Judy and Fran growing up in St Bernard, Ohio and spending time in West Virginia with family. She got married to Jim Hurley in 1962. They had one child a son, Brian.

While working in the Mental Health industry she decided to go to college and to get her bachelor’s degree in Social Working plus she discovered a deep love of meditation with SYDA meditation. In her later years, Carol flourished in a second career, as a Social Worker with at-risk youth at the Children Home of Cincinnati. She also taught meditation to children and adults that wanted to learn about the peacefulness and mindfulness of mediation. In addition to her son, Carol is mourned by two beautiful, loving grandchildren Brent and Krista, along with her five siblings, Joan that is deceased, Linda, Sharon, Jerry, and Camille. Family and friends describe Carol as a compassionate person who loved bringing family together in beautiful ways. In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol’s honor to the Children Home of Cincinnati.
