Obituary for Karen Sue Blankenship

Cincinnati – Karen Sue Blankenship (nee Chevalier) passed away peacefully on October 18, 2019 at the age of 61. She was the daughter of Margaret and Paul Chevalier (deceased) and beloved companion of Norman Applegate for 26 years, mother of Donald Blankenship, Jr. (Chris), Edward Blankenship, and Kevin Blankenship (Alicia). Grandmother to Mason Blankenship (Lauren), Sara Blankenship and Cory Blankenship. Karen was also a great grandmother to 9-month-old Dalton Blankenship. Karen was the dear sister of siblings Debra Howe (Richard), Michael Chevalier and Tina Inskeep (Mike) as well as siblings Joseph Chevalier, Troy Chevalier and Cindy Rich, who predeceased her. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and many close friends. Karen was born in Kentucky but spent much of her life in Cincinnati where she was the caregiver to so many people throughout her whole life both personally and professionally. Karen was a very giving person and never thought twice about giving you everything she had to make life less painful for you.

There will not be a visitation as her chosen wish was cremation, however, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 12:00-3:00pm at her sister’s house at 2280 Indian Creek Trail, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
