Obituary for Randolph Vance Glidewell

Randolph (Randy) Glidewell, beloved son of Clinton and Marian Icard, passed away on September 28, 2019 at the age of 71. He is survived by his partner in life, Carol; his children Sondra, Alicia, and Damien; step children Julie Brown and Steven Hill; grandchildren Caitlin, Tyler, Cody, Kayla, Cole, Cameron, Korinne, Lekha, Matthew, Michael, Ashley, and Jessica; brother Steve Icard; and nieces Emily, Leanna, and Mariah.

Born on March 3, 1948, Randy would go on to accomplish many feats despite disadvantages and setbacks. He joined the navy seals to serve his country and its' people. After his service, he would go on to see the world and, along the way, become a successful supervisor talented in his ability to understand and motivate throughout his career. It is during this time in life that he met a very special person in his life, someone who would deeply impact the rest of his life, his loving wife and partner, Carol. Throughout their winding journey in life, they shared a love that will always remain. With children that he saw as his own, their family would grow from children to grandchildren. In his final days, he was surrounded by those whom he loved, respected and was proud and honored to call family. It was those people, who felt the utmost compassion and respect to a man they would call husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. He will be forever and deeply missed until their paths meet again.

A celebration will be held in his honor on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. All who know him are welcome to attend.
